Why is it impossible to buy a copy of the Talmud in Barnes and Nobel?

I've tried to buy the Talmud at Barnes %26amp; Nobel and other book stores in NYC. None carry it. Why is this and where can I buy one?|||The reason it is had to get is simple- Englsh book stores seldom carry books in foreign languages- specially those of a specialist nature which are multiple volumes in length! The English translation of the Talmud is a mere 73 volumes in length and can be ordered diectly from Artscroll http://artscroll.com or via Amazon.|||Here.... this is a website to the store/gallery in my community in Chicago.

It's called Hamakor Gallery.

It is a gift store and also a book store.

We actually have some of these.|||Shelf space, probably. The Talmud is not just one book, it is 20+ volumes. Since you're in NYC, there are Jewish book stores that will be able to sell it to you, if you really want to get it. It will be expensive, and take up a lot of space at home.|||answer: perhaps you and the clerks don't realize that there isn't one book. There are MANY books of the Talmud. A complete set would take up an entire library shelf. Go on Amazon.com and look up what it would cost you for a complete set.

Oh yeah, do you read Hebrew and Aramaic?|||Try amazon.com.
