What does this say for the credibility of the Nobel panel|||First off, I don't agree with the people answering questions like this who call Obama all kinds of names. The man is the President, have some respect, even if it is only for the office.
But in all seriousness, this is just bizarre and I think it turns the Nobel Prize into a joke. Apparently, if I read the news correctly, submissions for Nobel Prize have to be received by the committee by February 1 of that year. This means Obama was in office for only 11 DAYS before his name was submitted! This is a purely political decision and I think it only adds credence to the people who are starting to doubt Obama and, like the SNL skit, are starting to ask, "What have you actually done?" No doubt the man has charisma and starpower, but until we see some real reform it's been all smoke and no fire.
Pres. Obama may very well deserve one at some point, but I think awarding it to him in the infancy of his presidency makes a mockery out of Nobel's legacy, the prize itself, and the hundreds and thousands of brave men and women who are struggling against ruthless dictators and opressors around the world and who truly deserve the prize.|||I vote for this as best answer:
