Who was the 1994 Nobel Prize winner in Physics? Unable to afford university during the depression, he worked as a radio repair man and waited for 12 years after graduating from High School to earn his university degree. (Three of the following are Canadian Nobel prize winners.)

Brockhouse discovered neutron spectroscopy, which is essentially how neutrons correlate with radiation (light).
