What do you think are the reasons for which the Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to Barack Obama?

Tell with us why YOU think President Obama won this prestigious award.|||because he is the first black president. if he was white i guarantee he wouldn't win the award, or have become president|||Obama, despite the situation he is faced with, has dealth with SO many issues so peacefully, he closed guantanamo bay is withdrawing troops from iraq to solve the real problem which is in afghanistan all without causing an uproar the man is smart just misunderstood, he deserved it because he is actually making an effort to take steps toward peace|||The Nobel Prize is really Obama's payback for disciplining the unruly United States and taming it to be a member of the European family of nations. Europe wants to reverse the American Revolution and re-colonize us and it sees in Obama a kindred spirit willing to do its bidding.|||i'm not entirely sure. i think it was based onhis intentions. part of the peace prize deals with disarming people in conflict, and getting the troops out of iraq is/was part of his plan.





it does seem odd to me, a little bit, that he won this award.|||I haven't got the slightest idea......I can't imagine him in the same category as Mother Theresa and Nelson Mandela.....He was picked 11 DAYS after he took office so at the time no one knew what he was capable of. 11 Days after he took office.
