Was the Nobel Prize awarded to a Chinese dissident helpful or obstruction to democracy in China?

Liu Xiaobo was awarded Nobel Peace Price in '10, but was the award beneficial or hindrance to democracy in China?|||The award didn't help China in anyway except reminding the CPC government to strengthen internet censorship and control the flow of information into the country. Not only so, not many citizens in mainland China even know of Liu Xiaobo's existence.|||Liu Xiaobo does not represent human rights. He still supports Iraq War and he is a staunch conservative who supports colonialism. He believes that individuals who receive grants from foreign governments should be given equal rights which violates the Chinese constitution and even US law and India law as well. Liu Xiaobo doesn't represent Peace since he doesn't know the disparity of middle class v class below poverty when he is calling for democratic elections. The class below poverty will eat up all the votes against the middle class.

The Nobel peace Prize is a prize of Western imperialism. The Nobel Peace Prize is nothing but a fluke when Gandhi was never awarded the prize when he was alive due to British pressure.

It has been a fluke ever since: war criminal Henry Kissinger, war criminal Arafat, war criminal Barack Obama were the recipient.

Chinese government has EVERY right to be mad of rewarding this traitor. With a big fat check $750,000 from US government via the NED (go check their website), not only he is a puppet to the US government, he has no self-determination.|||Unfortunately,almost noone in China knows about Liu Xiabo. It was neither a hindrance or beneifit to China.

Secret: Never before have I been more confident in the young people of a country then that of China. Democracy (or at least the ending of the CCP) will happen in my lifetime. I have the confidence and I see it happening.|||If only there are great people who care the life of the most common people, there will be some democracy in China. This is also right in other countries. If the government take over the peasants' land and give not them the payment, there will not be demoracy in China. Don't believe in others, just find the way you live.|||Democracy in China . I have not heard of this . I have heard of ccp rules . When a few people rule a country the size of China they are there for the money and power . Not the people . If they let the people rule China it would be a better place .

Oh , democracy that is what they need . I think .

And some one is off the med's I think .

But here unlike in China you can say any thing .|||Yes because peaceful demonstration is OK except the Chinese government doesn't obviously approve.

Will there be democracy in China some day? Maybe maybe not. Russia's communism finally fell apart due to economics so maybe the same will happen with China someday soon, maybe?|||lets look at it this way, suppose Julian Assange is awarded a similar prize, will the award help the us to be less a world bully?|||Was the Nobel Prize awarded to a US president helpful to US?|||yes he should have gotten
